Our Vision

Our vision for Normanton Common Primary is that we create a thriving community school committed to developing successful citizens for the future.  We will strive to establish an exciting and stimulating, secure and happy environment which will provide opportunities for nurturing personal growth and foster the development of enquiring minds. Our school will be a happy place where expectations are high, individuals are valued, a wide range of educational opportunities are available to all, and our partnership with parents is paramount.

Our Mission Statement that we keep in mind every day is that we are:

‘Working together to make every lesson count’

  • children choose to use the attitudes, skills and knowledge required to make each lesson the best it can be.
  • parents will be informed about what and how their children learn so that their role in the learning partnership can be enabled to its fullest. We ask that parents work to ensure that their children arrive at school on time each day physically and emotionally ready to learn.
  • staff will work hard to ensure that they know what each child needs to progress to reach his or her fullest expectations, and use their skills, knowledge and patience to enable this to happen.
